Ayade Employs 3,000 Youths To Sew Masks For States with COVID-19

Cross River State Government is set to engage 3, 000 youths with skills in tailoring to join the state owned garment factory to enable the state meet up with face mask required for donation to all states in Nigeria with confirmed case of COVID-19.

Governor Ben Ayade stated this shortly after inspecting the ongoing recruitment exercise at the factory along Goodluck Jonathan Byepass in Calabar, the state capital.

The Governor said the essence of their engagement is to keep the young graduate with skills busy at this period of COVID-19 pandemic when companies are laying off workers due to their inability to meet up with the set goals.

Some of the job seekers who commended Governor Ayade for keeping their hope alive, said the work means a lot to them.

The 3, 000 new workers will joined the old 3, 000 already working at the Cross River Garment factory, in a bid to meet up with various tasks given to deliver face masks orders, promised by the Governor to the six geopolitical zones in the country.
