As a precautionary measure to curb the spread of the COVID 19 virus, the Saudi Arabian government has installed a sterilisation gate as the Masjid Al-Haram. The sterilization gate is fully equipped with all the latest technology.

Individuals who want to gain entrance into the mosque must pass through the sterilization gate. While passing through, the gate would automatically scan the individual and simultaneously sterilize them.

According to reports, the sterilization gate was introduced at the doors of the holy mosque by the General Presidency who is in charge of the mosque represented by the Technical and Service our Affairs agency.

According to Haramain, the sterilization gate at Masjid Al-Haram is a temporary experiment, and if the experiment is successful, it will be implemented in this in other parts of Masjid Al-Haram.

The Saudi Arabian Kingdom installed thermal cameras last month to monitor the body temperature of worshippers visiting the mosque in Madina to help curb the spread of the COVID 19 virus.
