Poland presidential election, expected to hold on Sunday, 10th of March, has been delayed as a result of the  COVID 19 pandemic.

The head of the ruling law and justice party (PiS), Jaroslaw Kaczynski announced that the decision to postpone the election was made by the Supreme Court and the new election date will be announced by the speaker of the Parliament.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the new election will be held through the use of postal votes.

While the ruling party, Law and Justice Party (PiS) and its opposing parties were going back and forth whether the election should or should not hold, they neglected to make plans for the actual election and elections plans are now in chaos and the plans for votes are also in chaos.

The former Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk made a jest of the disagreement on the election date in a Twitter post, he said that you never know when the election will hold but you always know who will win.

Jaroslaw Kaczynski and Andrzej Duda, the president of Poland are in favour of the election still taking place on Sunday, but the other opposing parties are against it with the arguments that they have not been able to hold proper campaigns as a result of the COVID 19 virus outbreak.
