A new Shehu of Bama Baba has been appointed to the throne by the Borno State Government. He is Shehu Kyari Umar.
The letter of appointment was presented to the new Shehu who is the eldest son of the late monarch, Kyari Ibm Umar Elkanemi, by the Secretary to Borno State Government on behalf of the Governor.
Governor Babagana Umara Zullum had in the letter indicated that the decision was in compliance with the extant laws, recommendation of kingmakers, custom and tradition of Bama Emirate.
