The Benue State Government says it has concluded arrangements to return about 40 individuals, who recently came into the state from the northern part of the country to their original places of residence for fear that they may be carriers of the Coronavirus and may spread it in the State.
Chairman Action Committee on COVID-19, Benson Abounu, disclosed this while receiving an assessment brief on the state’s handling of the pandemic in Makurdi, the state capital.
Asides its index case which was confirmed about four weeks ago, the state has not recorded any case in recent times.
An abnormally which the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control attributed to its low capability for diagnosis as the State still does not have a testing facility which equally provides a false sense of invincibility of the pandemic.
Abounu also announced the receipt of palliative from the Federal Government.
