The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, wants thorough investigation into the situation in Kano State where no fewer than 640 persons had reportedly died in the last one week.
The major opposition party’s call according to a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan, is predicated on what it described as conflicting reports emanating from Kano State on the cause of the deaths especially at this peculiar times in the nation’s history.
The PDP also described as lamentable President Muhammadu Buhari’s failure to promptly activate concrete and visible action to investigate and arrest the situation the northern state.
The party is, therefore, calling on Nigerians to hold the Kano State Government and his administration responsible for the development in the state.
