G20 Countries and IMF donates $363.27 million

The International Monetary Fund IMF along with the G20 countries has agreed to give the Democratic Republic of Congo the sum of $363.27 million to help fight the COVID 19 virus outbreak in the country.

The Democratic Republic of Congo’s economy has suffered terribly from the COVID 19 virus outbreak after just recovering from the ebola outbreak that began in August 2018.

The economy of the Democratic Republic of Congo is wildly deteriorating after the massive fall in demand of natural resources and minerals from other countries after they also suffered financial shocks from the pandemic.

The G20 countries include; Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States  and also the EU European Union.

The Democratic Republic of Congo confirmed its first case of the COVID 19 virus on the 10th of March 2020 and has rapidly increased to a total of 377 confirmed cases of the virus with 25 deaths recorded.
