Delta Records 2 New COVID-19 Cases, Monitors 140 Contacts

Delta State Government has announced two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 involving one female and a male recorded at Uvwie and Udu Council Areas of the state respectively.

The Commissioner for Health, Mordi Ononye, who made this known in a statement he issued in Asaba, the state’s capital, on Wednesday, said the two cases were being treated at the isolation centres in the state.

Ononye, nonetheless, noted that the total number of confirmed cases in the state is six with one confirmed death.

According to the Commissioner, all the COVID-19 patients in the state are doing well even as he urged Deltans with symptoms of the COVID-19 such as fever, malaria, catarrh, cough , chest pain, difficulty in breathing, and loss of appetite to report to the nearest general hospital for medical evaluation and possible testing.
