COVID-19: Plateau state to commence testing of 1000 samples

Following the approval of COVID-19 test centre in Plateau, North Central Nigeria, the centre is set to commence testing in the state.

The centre which is located at the National Veterinary Research Institute, Vom, Plateau state, is one out of the newly approved centres by the National Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

The Acting DG of the NVRI, Dr. Ocholi, who said the centre is ready to begin testing samples, made this known while briefing Governor Simon Lalong, who was on an inspection of facilities at the centre.

Sharing more light reporters on the development, the State Commissioner for Health, Nimkom Lar, said the test centre can process 1000 samples per day and get the results within three hours.
