Three pastors were on Sunday arrested for allegedly violating the sit-at-home order of the Delta State Government aimed at containing the spread of the Coronavirus in the state.
Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Warri Area Command, Muhammad Garba, who confirmed the incident, disclosed that the clerics were said to be conducting Easter Sunday services at different churches in Warri and Uvwie Local Council Areas of the state when a team of Police detectives swooped on them.
The three pastors whose names were withheld are of the St James Anglican Church, Warri, All Saints Anglican Church, Warri, and Christ for the World Mission in Uvwie.
ACP Garba said the arrested pastors alongside 20 other members will be charged to court on Monday, April 13, 2020.
