The president of the United States, Donald Trump has threatened to pull the United States funding from the World Health Organization (WHO).

President Trump completely dismissed the organization warning saying the WHO also said that the situation will be “Just fine” despite the multiple alerts that were sent out earlier in the year by the World Health Organization. Now, President Trump is claiming that the World Health Organization has failed in its duty to protect the world from the pandemic.

Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus spoke out regarding President Trump’s threat. He said that it’s about the “National Unity” and he understood how difficult it was for politicians because he was once one and at the end of the day, the people belonged to all political parties.

Moussa Faki Mahamat, the chairperson of the African Union (AU) post a tweet saying he was surprised to learn about the US government threat against the WHO and that the African Union was in full support of the WHO and Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
