Imo State Government has unveiled six isolation centres and a laboratory put in place to combat coronavirus in the state.
The State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, disclosed this in Owerri on Friday.
The Governor also said it has commenced the fumigation of markets and major public meeting places across the state to disinfect the areas.
Uzodinma stated that his administration was working hard to ensure that the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic did not have its way to the state.
He also appealed to residents to comply with measures taken by the government to tackle the disease.
The Governor expressed concern over the hardship the people were facing as a result of the lockdown ordered by the government and gave an assurance that the measures would be reviewed at intervals to suit the demands of the time.
The isolation centres are located in Owerri, Aboh Mbaise, Okigwe, and Orlu Local Government Areas of the state.
