Traders at the Masaka market of Karu Local Government Area have asked the Nasarawa State Government to obey a court injunction which restrained it from demolishing the market.

A Karu High Court on March 24, restrained the government from demolishing the market.

Inspite of this, the state government served the traders two weeks notice of demolition on the excuse of preventing the spread of Coronavirus.

They, however, said for the purpose of maintaining peace, the state government should consider the option of paying them compensation.

The hearing of the substantive motion has been put off as a result of the pandemic.
