Baba Ijebu joins cohorts of donors towards the fight against COVID19

To fight the spread of the pandemic disease in Nigeria, all hands are required to be on deck. The rapid surge in the number of confirmed cases of the virus in the country propelled concerned Nigerians to come out with donations to support the government.

This includes people in both the private and public sectors. Kensington Adebutu, a businessman popularly known as Baba Ijebu. In a letter written 30 March to Babajide Sanwo-Olu,  the governor of Lagos State.

Baba Ijebu stated that his donation to Lagos State government is his own assistance to the state government in fighting COVID-19 in Lagos state.

“Copies of our cheque and receipt of the payment are attached for easy reference,” Mr. Adebutu stated.

Just recently, Folorunso Alakija of Famfa Oil, Tony Elumelu the CEO of United Bank For Africa, Aliko Dangote of Dangote Group of Companies, Femi Otedola to mention a few came out to donate funds to support this cause.

Nigeria currently has identified 135 confirmed cases and 2 recorded death.
