The Comptroller-General of Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, Muhammed Babandede, has tested positive for Coronavirus.
In a statement signed by the Service Public Relations Officer, James Sunday, the Immigration chief has been in self-isolation since he returned from the United Kingdom, in compliance with the directive of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
Sunday also said the Comptroller-General is in a stable condition and responding to treatment and directing as expected the affairs of the service online, while the Deputy Comptroller-General overseeing the administration of the service is in touch online to keep service activities running within this period.
