The Government has via the Presidency Office of Digital Engagement @DigiCommsNG has debunked rumours circulating that the Federal Government will pay the sum of ₦30,000 to Nigerians with verified BVN.
The news spread like wildfire earlier this morning quoting the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina which stated the funds will help Nigerians stock up during the quarantine season.

Debunking the news has, however, sparked another outrage as citizens have taken to their social media platforms to ask why the government cannot take such measures as other countries have done similarly to cater to their citizens during the COVID-19 crisis.
