From Sunday night to Monday morning, Boko Haram jihadists killed about 92 soldiers in Chad in the village of Boma, close to the border Chad shared with its neighbors Nigeria and Niger.

According to a soldier, the attack was said to have lasted for a minimum of seven hours. About 24 vehicles belonging to the military were destroyed and the remaining weapons were looted by the Boko Haram, said the soldier.

Idriss Deby, the president of Chad described the attack as the deadliest attack on the nation’s forces and it was the first time the army had lost so many men at once.

During the period of their insurgency, the Boko Haram jihadists have carried out many attacks in Nigeria, Chad, Niger Republic, Cameroon and some other neighboring countries.

In these attacks, the jihadists have killed many thousands of people and forced millions to flee from their homes.

On Monday, the Jihadists killed over 50 Nigerian soldiers in Yobe state in the Northern region of Nigeria.
