The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, has reacted to news making the round on social media that Coronavirus is airborne.
Reacting to the news, the Commissioner said that Coronavirus is droplet borne which remains active on some surfaces for a few hours.
Prof. Abayomi made the remark at a statewide broadcast on Tuesday.
He further stressed that the state has three testing centres, noting that 1020 samples can be tested in a day if the centres are active.
The Commissioner also said that the state is not testing all contacts but only those who develop symptoms.
