Michel Barnier, Brexit Chief also tests positive to COVID-19

Michel Barnier, the European Union chief Brexit negotiator announced on his twitter that he was tested positive for the COVID 19 virus, yesterday, Thursday 19th March.

Michel Barnier is a 69-year-old French politician and a former French minister that has been in charge of the Brexit negotiations between the United Kingdom and the European Union.

He said that he was in good spirits, he was doing well and he said that he was confined to his house. He also said he was following all necessary instructions.

He addressed those who were already infected with the virus and those who were in isolation saying that they will get through it together.

Michel Barnier received well wishes on social media. Among were, Ursula Von der Leyen, the European Commission president and Charles Michel, the European Union Council president.
