Chief Willie Obiano, the governor of Anambra state has ordered the immediate closure of all schools in the state as precaution to prevent the COVID 19 virus outbreak. This closure will carry on till further notice from the government.
The governor is following the steps of other state governors in the country by ordering this ban. He also implemented the ban of public gatherings in the states and he also implemented strict measures to be followed in the markets.
The governor said that the people in the market must follow the proper hygiene measure that has been put in place to help curb the spread of the highly viral pandemic.
Mr. Don Adinuba, the state commissioner for information and public enlightenment said that the state will now be working hand in hand with Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital to help manage the COVID 19 virus situation.
