Dr Mojisola Yaya-Kolade, the Ekiti State Commissioner for Health has revealed the conditions under which the American in Ekiti State was before he passed to the virulent disease.

According to the Commissioner, the person who passed is a 27-year-old Caucasian from Virginia in America who had prior complications and test for Coronavirus remains inconclusive, however, his driver tested positive to the virus. The lady travelling with him, however, tested negative to the virus. The Driver a 38-year-Old Ekiti Indigene also resides in Ibadan city.

The Commissioner disclosed that the UNICEF and WHO have already made contact and are planning to assist in curtailing the spread, in addition, she mentioned that the commission has embarked on contact tracing to ensure that all those who came in contact with the primarily involved parties are quarantined and isolated for further inspection.

In closing, she maintained that the State Governor had put in place adequate measures to ensure that there is no epidemic within the state.
