Governor Godwin Obaseki has reiterated the commitment of Edo State Government to limiting the spread of COVID-19 outbreak through precautionary measures.
Speaking to reporters after the State Security Council meeting which held in Government House, Benin City, Governor Obaseki said adequate steps will be taken to ensure that citizens are protected.
The State Security Council deliberated on the issue of farmers-herders clashes and reached a conclusion to strengthen the security architecture.
The need to continually decongest the Nigerian Correctional Service and increase non-custodial sentencing as a means to reducing the number of inmates was also discussed.
