The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camps across the country has reportedly been suspended over over fears of the spread of Corona Virus.
It was gathered in the early hours of today through several tweets by serve Corps members, that while some camps had asked Corps members to return to their various homes, some other aren’t observing the early morning routine drills they were supposed to, leaving Corps members in apprehension on what could be wrong.
A tweet by a serving Corps member, Khadija Aliya read; “We are going home and come no more. No more clarion call, no more double up. I’m not sure of what to miss here tho #nysc.”
Another from Ada Ubakala read, “NYSC has shut down orientation camps nationwide due to the Corona pandemic. They shouldn’t have even gone in the first place.
“All NYSC Orientation Camps has been shutdown due to the gradual spread of the pandemic corona virus. However, all prospective Corps Members has been asked to go home. #nysc #COVID19#”
