AMVCA is still the talk of the town and trending on social media, even though it held over 3 days ago at the Eko Hotel and Suites on March 14th 2020, and it’s been one controversy after the other after its successful conclusion.
Living in Bondage had a total of 8 wins which made it the lead of the prestigious night.
One of those who are not so pleased with the award is Zubby Michael, who has a problem with the fact that the sequel of Living in bondage which clinched 8 awards did not recognise the old Living in Bondage, which paved the way for the recent one.
He further said he believes most of the organizers are Yoruba as no tribute was made to late veteran Sam Loco, Mama G, Pete Edochie, Kanayo O Kanayo amongst others.
He referred to the award as highly political, questioning if people even understand the meaning of Viewer’s Choice…
