The coronavirus pandemic has forced UEFA to move the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament to the summer of 2021.
There were rumours that the tournament could be suspended and rescheduled for later this year due to the shift in the football calendar of all leagues of countries involved in the tournament.
The tournament was initially meant to be held across twelve countries for the first time ever. It was scheduled to begin on June 12. The Norwegian FA confirmed the decision by UEFA to move the tournament via social media.
The competition will now take place between June 11 and July 11, 2021.
