Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho was involved in a prison 5 aside tournament where he is currently being held in Paraguay. He put on a majestic display as he helped his side to an 11-2 victory in which the samba superstar scored five goals and provided his teammates with six assists.
The former Ballon d’Or Winner was arrested by Paraguayan authorities at the airport after presenting fake passports with his older brother. Both of them will remain in the prison till the court hearing later this month. At first, the former Barcelona was low in spirit but has since adjusted to the situation.
The ever jovial dribbler has been pictured smiling, drinking and playing football in prison so far. There have been rumours that the Brazilian president is set to liaise with Paraguayan authorities in order to secure the early release of the soccer icon. Also, reports suggest that Lionel Messi has hired Lawyers to represent his idol.
Ronaldinho’s legal adviser, Adolfo Marin has claimed that his client was “stupid” and was not aware of what he was doing. All efforts to get the former PSG and AC Milan star out of prison are in full motion but till then, the 39-year-old would continue to thrill his fellow inmates as he plays the beautiful game he loves so much.
