Lagos State Governor, Babajide SanwoOlu has today visited the scene of the unfortunate explosion that occured yesterday. He expressed his deepest regret over the tragedy and announced that a 2 billion Relief Fund has been set up to give everyone the opportunity to be part of contributing towards helping the victims.
He noted that 3 accounts have been created with Polaris Bank to hasten the process. The account numbers have been listed on the Governor’s Twitter handle, see below
Several casualties have been recorded at the scene and bodies have continuously been recovered since the tragedy took place yesterday.
President Muhammadu Buhari also commiserated with the victims of the fire outbreak sending profound sympathies to the families of the victims and the victims themselves.
