Stop hugging and shaking people, Aregbesola warns Nigerians

Rauf Aregbesola, the Minister of Interior of Nigeria has sent out a warning to all Nigerians to stop shaking hands with each other, they should also refrain from hugging so that they would reduce their chances of coming in contact with the COVID 19 virus.

The minister made this statement in a ceremony in Abuja, Yesterday, 12th of March 2020. Not only should Nigerians refrain from hugging each other and shaking hands, but they should also try to maintain about three feet of distance between themselves and the next person, this instruction includes not only strangers but family members and friends.

Instead, for the duration of the outbreak, people should bow to each to other or courtesy. He stated that COVID 19 is a global epidemic and should be taken seriously by everyone in order to prevent it from spreading and ensure it doesn’t become a problem in the country.

Although the virus has not spread far in Nigeria, we must all be vigilant.
