The Ultimate Fighting Championship popularly known as UFC is an American Mixed Martial Arts promotion company. The UFC is the world’s biggest MMA promotion organization that includes some of the sport’s top-level competitors including Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey.

The UFC was established in 1993 but caught the eye of the world after striking a deal with Fox, an American TV station who helped to put the UFC in the limelight. The UFC currently has nine different divisions for their competitors which includes both men and women. Nigeria has two champions in two of the divisions currently.

Kamaru Usman us the current Welterweight Champion while Israel Adesanya is the current Middleweight Champion. Nigeria currently has four fighters in the UFC who are all doing well in their respective divisions.

The other two Nigerians are Sodiq Yusuff and Kennedy Nzechukwu. Yusuff is in featherweight division while Nzechukwu is in the heavyweight division. Both Yusuff and Nzechukwu are yet to be established fighters in the UFC but both of them have good records in the MMA.

Both would be looking forward to becoming champions in their division just like Usman and Adesanya.
