The first lady of Ado-Ekiti, Mrs Bisi Fayemi assured that the administration of her husband Kayode Fayemi the current governor of Ekiti will give more political positions to women. This will not just enhance gender balancing, it will also improve the family value and give relevance to women.

She stated that the fight against gender inequality in Ekiti is not to make husbands and wives be at logger’s head, but to give rise to social stability. Bisi Fayemi made known in a program held in Ado-Ekiti to mark this year’s edition of International women’s Day. According to Bisi Fayemi, the Ekiti state governor Kayode Fayemi has begun forceful implementation of laws concerning gender equality.

Pauline Tallen the Minister of Women Affairs as represented by Mrs Dupe Bakare the Director of Finance and Administration in the ministry stated that the President made available supply of gas cylinders across the 774 local government areas in the country to 1,00 rural women in each.
