The Bill for the establishment of the South-West Development Commission has passed the second reading.
The bill which was sponsored by Honourable Olufemi Fakeye and seventy others seeks to tackle ecological problems, environmental challenges and also developmental challenges in the region.
The bill seeks to mandate the commission to receive and manage funds allocated from the federation account for the reconstruction, rehabilitation of roads and other infrastructural challenges being faced within the region.
