DR Congo runs out of funds for Ebola

The World Health Organization has cried out over the paucity of funds in tackling Ebola in DR Congo. The W.H.O has requested the sum of $40 million to help restore operation towards containing the disease in the East African Country.

According to the organization, by month’s end, they would have run out of funds to tackle the life-threatening disease. The spokesperson of the WHO disclosed that failure to support the cause would be tragic with at least 3 – 15 cases reported on a weekly basis thus further spreading the virus.

The frequency of reports had declined with some areas reporting no new cases in over 42 days from the Butembo and Mambasa Health Zones.
