For the 9th consecutive title in Women’s wrestling at the African Championships, Odunayo Adekuoroye and Blessing Oborodudu have emerged World No. 1 and 2 respectively at the commonwealth games.
Adekuoroye in the top spot managed to clinch a technical superiority victory against Eman Ebrahim in the final round and also in the opening round.
Oborududu managed to climb 4 spots from No. 7 to No. 3, securing 10- 0 superiority wins against Drifa Arezki, Anta Sambou, Mona Reda Ahmed and Rihem Ayari.
The male category is set to compete in the Freestyle event on the final day of the competition.
