The kukere crooner Iyanya has been allegedly charged before the Lagos State High court Igbosere for Car theft.
Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk popularly referred to as Iyanya is said to have converted another person’s car into his own.
This was said to have happened in the ninth month of 2018 according to reports. Car theft is a punishable crime under the law. Read part of the charges against him below
‘’ dishonestly converted to your own use or use of another person a black Toyota Landcruiser Prado Jeep with Chassis Number: JTEBX7FJ7EK165480, Engine Number: 2TRI385954 and Registration Number: MAVINIY, the property of The Temple Management Company Limited, represented by one Ayodeji Olomojobi, Esq.” The Police stated.
Iyanya was arraigned by a court of law before Justice Mobolanle Okikiolu-Ighile where he pleaded not guilty. The Musician didn’t admit to the crime filed against him and he was then released to A. Williams who is his lawyer.
His lawyer is to ensure he is available in court for his trial.
The case has been adjourned to February 27.
