Some civil society organizations have condemned the judgment of Justice Yusuf Halilu of the FCT high court which convicted husband killer Maryam Sanda to death.

The group led by the Human Rights Writers Association HURIWA says the judgement was flawed as the presiding Judge Justice Yusuf Halilu acted on circumstantial evidence and not evidence-based on verifiable facts.

The Executive Director of HURIWA Emmanuel Onwubiko spoke to newsmen in Abuja saying there was no witness and evidence that proved Maryam Sanda stabbed her husband to death thus the judgment is a miscarriage of justice.
