Foundation educates IDP camp in Abuja on Genotype Matching

The Hafeez Adeyemi Sickle Cell Foundation has called on Nigerians to take the probability of sickle cell transmission especially through genotype matching more seriously.

The foundation visited the internally Displaced Persons Camp in Apo Abuja to educate IDP’s on how effective genotype matching can reduce cases of Sickle cell transmission.

The foundation also donated relief materials to many of the internally displaced persons in the camp who were displaced from the homes and communities in the northeast since 2015

The Internally displaced persons at the Apo Internally Displaced Person’s camp in Abuja also took the opportunity to call on the federal government to come to their rescue.

The IDP’s made the appeal to newsmen during a sickle cell awareness campaign by the Hafeez Adeyemi Sickle Cell Foundation saying they lack basic amenities like water and light and want government to come to their aid
