Here’s a rundown of African-Americans obtaining their African Citizenship. Just recently, popular American rapper, Ludacris and Actor officially became a Gabonese.

Christopher Brian Bridges also known as Ludacris is married to a Gabonese woman Eudoxie Mbouguiengue. Over the New Year Holidays, Ludacris, his two daughters, and mothers became citizens of the Gabonese Republic, a country on the west coast of Central Africa.

African-Americans are tracing back their roots and picking up their African citizenship. Ghana marked 400 years of Africans who were enslaved in North America returned back home. In effect to this celebration, 126 Afro-Caribbean and even African-Americans became Citizens of the country.

Another scenario of African Americans taking up their African roots is the famous Comedian Tiffany Haddish who became the citizen of Eritrea.
The identity of several African-Americans has been totally erased as a result of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade.

Samuel L. Jackson went ahead to embrace his African root which traced back to Benga people in Gabon after the result of the DNA test he took showed that. The celebration of the year of return by Ghana governments is to summon people to come back home, trace their roots back home and be encouraged to find their identity and be connected back to Africa.

Ghana was flooded by famous African Americans during the holiday at the Afrofest Celebration. A famous actress Lupita Nyong’o, Tina Knowles Lawson and several others were present. Rabbi Kohain had likened the taking of African American’s identity has to sever the Umbilical cord.

So ugly, hurtful and painful and tracing back their root to Ghana has soothed the hurt they walked around with for years. The reckless killing of black people in America, the unfair treatment like they are second class citizens has shed light and given African Americans the insight that they do not belong to America.
