The Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein is facing criminal trial after he has been charged with rape and sexual assault. In a situation that might lead to Harvey spending his entire life in prison if he is convicted for all the felonies charged against him which numbered 5.
Six women are lined to testify that Harvey sexually assaulted and molested them, two of these sexual assaults involve an attack on the women, three witnesses to also testify to ‘’Prior bad acts’’ and another witness to back up the state’s claim about Harvey being a sexual predator.
Although several allegations have been out against Harvey, the first one is from Ambra Battilana Gutierrez who is an Italian model. The model had come open to tell NYPD detectives about how Weinstein groped her breast behind closed doors in his office during a business meeting.
To confirm this allegation, Ambra was asked to meet the Hollywood Producer Weinstein again for a dinner business meeting. The Italian model went with an undercover wiretap and successfully capture Weinstein’s voice admitting to the sexual assault, but the Prosecutors in Manhattan failed to take up the charge against Weinstein because Ambra illegally used the wiretap and according to them, that wasn’t enough charge to take Weinstein up.
He was also charged with forcefully assaulting a woman who had worked for him in 2006, raped another woman in Manhattan Hotel. Amongst several other charges, he was charged in New York for first and third-degree rape initially.
In 2004, he was charged with forcing a woman during a business movie to perform oral sex on him although the case was later dismissed.
His trial started Monday 6, January 2020.
