The wife, children and accompanying driver of Oba Rufus Akinrimade off the Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State have regained their freedom after spending a week in the custody of Kidnappers.
They were abducted last week Saturday by unknown gunmen along the Owo-Ikare expressway within the Oba Akoko town and shortly after a 100 million ransom was demanded by the kidnappers and further negotiated down to 60 million.
The monarch has reportedly disclosed to journalists that his family has been set free from the kidnappers however, it is not clear if a ransom was paid or not to secure their release.
The Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, Femi Joseph, also confirms that they have indeed been released and are after the culprits
