Boeing pledges $100m to families of 737 MAX crash victims

Dennis Muilenburg seized to be Boeing CEO as at yesterday weeks after the production of the 737 Max jet, which caused the loss of many lives on two occasions over the last year, was stopped.

The Board announced that the Chief Financial Officer, Greg Smith will be replacing Muilenberg temporarily until David Calhoun takes over in January.

Boeing has suffered severe economic implications since that particular model suffered two fatal crashes (Lion Air and Ethiopian Air) leaving no survivors and consequently leading to the ban of the 737 Max jet across the globe.

10 months after the ban, Boeing has been in series of lawsuits from the families of the deceased, legal appearances and various investigations concerning the cause of the crash which turned out to be the faulty software.
