Deacon Afeez Momoh of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Firm Foundation Parish, Shasha area,Akure has tasked Christian faithful to use Christmas season to remember the less-privileged by giving and showing love to them.
Momoh gave the while speaking on Sunday after the church’s Christmas carol.
He said that Christians should learn from birth of Jesus Christ, who was given to the world for forgiveness of sins and deliverance from bondage.
Momoh also said that hospitality was a virtue that must be steadfastly upheld by followers of Jesus Christ.
He noted that it was through giving that Christians could spread the gospel committed into their hands.
According to him, the birth of Jesus Christ is worthy of celebration.
Momoh, who earlier titled his sermon as ‘Importance of Christmas’ having read Luke, Chapter 2 verse 1 to 14, said that without Jesus Christ birth, there would be no Christians.
Similarly, Mrs Kehinde Olusola, a chorister in the church, said that Christmas activities were to renew the consecration of the Christian believers.
Olusola also said that Christmas carol songs were peculiarities associated with the birth of Jesus Christ.
