On Saturday 14 December 2019, the $1 billion marks were surpassed by Frozen II an American 3D computer-animation musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney and therefore the sixth-movie by Disney to attain this feat.
Frozen II according to Walt Disney is the seventh biggest animated release globally. During its domestic debut, Frozen II garnered $127million during its domestic debut.
Disney who continues to meet milestones and break the record in the box office is undoubtedly going to have a good holiday. Since Disney didn’t add ‘Lion King’ as an animated movie, Disney called it a live-action, Frozen II would have been the biggest animated release of all time.
Other Disney movies like ‘The Lion King’ ‘Avengers: Endgame’ ‘Captain Marvel’ ‘Aladdin’ ‘Toy-story’ have also attained the feat of surpassing the billion-dollar mark for Disney.
