Jack Dorsey who recently came to Africa has disclosed plans to build an open-source, decentralized social network that will eventually become a mainstay that Twitter and other similar social media platforms will interact with.
The announcement has been met with mixed reaction as the venture is one that many have tried but failed to attain in the past.
What makes this particularly interesting is that Twitter will be funding a small independent team of five including open source architects, engineers, designers to develop a decentralized standard for social media.
This comes in the wake of the recent controversy of whether political ads should be controlled after U.S Presidential Candidate, Elizabeth Warren put up a ridiculous ad about Donald Trump that went viral.
