Yesterday, the female and only person of colour in the 2020 presidential race, Kamala Harris, has called it quits due to lack of funds to continue. She informed her staff over a phone conversation according to reports from the Daily Beast.
She also wrote in an email to supporters that her campaign doesn’t have the financial backing to continue. The news has been met with the mixed reaction but the most profound of all is how the sitting president, Donald Trump reacted.
A remark to which Kamala Harris replied she would meet Trump at his trial. Referring to the impeachment inquiry, Donald Trump currently faces after news that the U.S President pressured the Ukranian president to investigate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.
The comeback is especially hilarious as if enough evidence is found against Trump in the December 4 hearing, the Senate will hold a trial, one which Kamala Harris would have voting powers.
