The fire at the Surulere Super Plaza that reportedly burnt down as many as 14 shops has been met with concern by several Nigerians considering the prevalence of fire accidents across Lagos State this year alone.
People who live close to the Plaza described how the fire started and how effective their personal attempts before the Fire Service Department arrived among several other details.
The fire started around 4 PM according to eyewitnesses and several shop owners have suffered huge financial losses in the wake of the incident.
