The Court of Appeal in Kaduna state has upheld the election of Governor Nasir El-Rufai as the duly elected Governor of Kaduna State.
In a unanimous decision, the five-man panel dismissed claims of vote-rigging and manipulation by the All Progressives Congress APC in the state.
The Peoples Democratic Party had appealed to the Election Tribunal that the polls were flawed with massive irregularities, urging the Tribunal to cancel about five hundred and fifteen thousand, nine hundred and fifty-one votes allegedly added to the APC.
The tribunal had dismissed the petition which resulted in a further appeal to the court of Appeal.
However, with the new judgment, the PDP says it is not satisfied and will study the ruling.
