Zimbabwe’s authorities have disclosed that due to rising temperatures and prolonged drought, Victoria falls water inflow has dropped to critically low levels.

The water inflow currently at about 100 cubic meters per second which feeds the power plants along the Zambezi River may not be able to continue to do so due to the reduced flow of water.

The authorities have also reported deaths of Elephants, as many as 55 elephants and other wild fauna which are effects of the reduced inflow of water. Other sectors such as the tourism industry are bound to feel the effect of the reduced sea levels as well.
