Facebook has in an announcement unveiled a new logo for its brand to distinguish its parent company from one of its product – the app. According to a statement the move is expected to keep its own brand growing.
Facebook is expected to brandish its new logo on several of its products including Oculus, Workplace and Portal, it will also feature in other products including the new company website as well as marketing materials.

“When I started Facebook 15 years ago, I had no idea it would eventually include Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, Workplace and more. Many people don’t know we build these products or that our teams often work together. But we believe people should because it’s important for people to know who’s behind the products they use.”
