The Federal Government says there is no going back in its bid to curb fake news and hate speeches.
The Minister of Information Lai Mohammed spoke to newsmen in Abuja saying the federal government will go on with its plan to stem the tide of false information by regulating broadcast, print and online media houses.
Mr Mohammed says that while the Federal Government is fully aware of negative public criticism concerning the move, it will act in the interest of the public by preventing violence which is usually caused by fake news and hate speeches.
