Islamic State leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was confirmed dead in a statement by U.S President Donald Trump who attests to have watched footage of his self inflicted execution.

According to him, the U.S Forces ambushed the “world’s number one terrorist leader” to justice in a “dangerous and daring” raid in north-western Syria with no casualties recorded within the team and no harm caused to 11 children who were rescued and moved out of the house.

Baghdadi has been held responsible for some terrorist attacks in Europe and the United States and for the past five years has been the leader of the IS group. Read his statements below:

“The US personnel were incredible. I got to watch much of it.

“No personnel were lost in the operation while a large number of Baghdadi’s fighters and companions were killed with him.

“He died after running into a dead-end.

Today’s events are another reminder we will continue to pursue the remaining ISIS terrorists to their brutal end. That also goes for other terrorist organisations. They are likewise in our sights.

“Baghdadi and the losers that worked for him – and losers they are – they had no idea what they were getting into. In some cases, they were very frightened puppies. In other cases, they were hardcore killers.

“They killed many, many people. The murder of innocent Americans James Foley, Steven Sotloff, Peter Kassig and Kayla Mueller were especially heinous.”

“He was a sick and depraved man. And now he’s gone. Baghdadi was vicious and violent and he died in a vicious and violent way as a coward running and crying.

The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson also celebrated the death of the IS Leader stating in a Tweet that the battle against the evil of Daesh is not over yet. Read below:

“The death of Baghdadi is an important moment in our fight against terror but the battle against the evil of Daesh is not yet over.

“We will work with our coalition partners to bring an end to the murderous, barbaric activities of Daesh once and for all.”
